What Happened to the Bennetts

Jason stops at a diner. He sits at the end of the counter next to truckers eating breakfast. He overhears them talking about the shootout and asks about it. He finds out that the trucker and the people in the minivan (a young girl and her grandfather) went to the hospital but are in stable condition. Milo killed two people: Nerone and the mystery person who shouted “Help!” The trucker who got out to help the people in the minivan, Jaybird, works for the same company as the diners: Collins Consolidated. The diners say that all of them will be looking for Milo. They know Milo’s car: a black Lexus SUV.

One of the truckers looks up the news on his phone. He says the young girl is leaving the hospital and that the police identified the two bodies: Phil Nerone and Bryan Krieger. Jason pulls out his phone and looks up Krieger’s website. Krieger was following a new lead. Jason thinks maybe Krieger had been following him since he was at Contessa’s. Suddenly his phone rings. Jason answers. It is Big George.
